All American Color Palette, the first in Color Trend 2012/2013 series

To me, researching color trends is like looking in a brand new 64 count box of Crayola crayons and imagining all the possibilities! At Itma Showtime (the Market for new fabrics & trims) a few short weeks ago, everyone was talking about color & style trends in home fashions. So we can stay on trend, I’m bringing these trends to you in a series on color and style trends for 2012/2013. Since I’m all about color, let’s start with Color trends.

The first in this series makes me think of sunny, inviting spaces. Think of a Cezanne painting and you’re there! Clear reds, tangerine oranges, rich butterscotch yellows, deep sky blue and royal blue make up a color palette that’s fresh, inviting, and timeless yet oh so current. It’s great for traditional or transitional styling. It’s easy to give this color trend a Coastal look by adding seashells in punches of white and corals in red and exchange the artwork to a more nautical  or seascape theme. It makes me happy to just BE in this space. How about you?
